On ChinaTalk, Ant Ling's head of product operations said I would say AGI is going to happen, With AI, everything has accelerated in such a way that I wouldn't call this under control and if there's a spectrum from pessimistic to optimistic, I'm very pessimistic.
Interviewed by Irene Zhang, Bian gave a rare on-record view from inside a Chinese frontier lab: asked whether the pace could be stopped or slowed, he said No. He said the outcome is probably not gonna end up in the form we hoped for and that human-in-the-loop is pretty important, while calling the agent hack on Hugging Face a sign we're making significant progress.
